In reading my church newsletter today, I wanted to share something I found interesting.
“If we want to reduce suffering, we need to be aware of the intentions we have regarding the things we say and do. When our intentions stem from anger or hatred, they’re more likely to cause harm than if they stem from happiness or gratitude. When we behave reactively, it is very difficult to be mindful of the intent behind our words and actions. It takes practice to become aware of our intentions. You can start this practice by asking yourself, ‘Why?’ as you react to things in life. Or maybe, Whoa.”
Let’s take time to be in the moment, and ask our minds relax. Reiki can help with that. A treatment of 30 to 60 minutes allows us to relax and release, so we can place our intention on self-care and love. Releasing blocked energy has many benefits, including reducing stress and anxiety.
For today, let’s be mindful of our intention to take better care of ourselves and to love ourselves the most, while holding our space, and allowing others to hold theirs.
